Extra Income -- Annual Reporting of Extra Income from Arkansas Public Agencies including University of Arkansas
Pursuant to Ark. Code. Ann. §§ 21-8-201 - 21-8-204 and UA Systemwide Policies and Procedures 440.10, all University employees who are employed full-time on regular nine-month or twelve-month appointments are required to file annually, with the President, a statement disclosing income in excess of $500 earned during the past calendar year from sources other than their regular salary, and which is from employment or from professional or consultant services rendered to any public agency of this state, including the University of Arkansas. Each source from which such income exceeds $500 must be reported. If the cumulative total of such income exceeds $500, but no such income from a single source exceeds $500, no report needs to be filed for purposes of this disclosure requirement.
For examples of income requiring disclosure, see the attached appendix.
“Public agency” includes the University, a state board, commission, institution, office or agency; city, county, school district or any agency, division or instrumentality thereof, including agencies, divisions or instrumentalities which are funded in part with funds provided by state appropriations; or any area or regional program in Arkansas which derives financial support in whole or in part from state funds or from any non-profit corporation, foundation or organization.
By January 31 each year, covered employees are to submit their reports to Human Resources
